Pivotable - Remove source data, only keep the summary

I am working on a spreadsheet which contains a very large amount of data, I'd like to summarise all the data into a pivotable.

I would like to use the drop down menu within the pivotable to allow users to filter the information that is in the pivotable.

The problem I have is that I now need to send the spreadsheet to a number of people via email, I could just email the large file that contains all the source data but this isn't very efficient. Is there anyway for me to remove the source data from the spreadsheet whilst still keeping all the information in the pivotable?

I'm sure this would be something that I could test using trial and error but it seems like quite an obvious thing to do so I'm hoping someone has tried this before and they will allow me to save some time.
