Pixel setting using VBA

1) How do I return the value of the screen pixel setting using VBA

2) How do I make a macro run as soon as excel opens

Hi,

1) Take a look on following thread
http://www.mrexcel.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=12304&forum=2

2) Create following procedure in the module ThisWorkbook:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
'...Your code
End Sub

1. Open the VB-editor - ALT+F11
2. Look for Your workbook in the Project-window.
3. Double-click on it in order to expand.
4. Open ThisWorkbook-module.

The following using an API call will get your screen resolution;

Declare Function GetSystemMetrics Lib "user32" (ByVal nindex As Long) As Long

Public Const SM_CXSCREEN = 0
Public Const SM_CYSCREEN = 1

Sub ScreenResolution()
Dim Vert As Integer
Dim Horiz As Integer

Horiz = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CXSCREEN)
Vert = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CYSCREEN)

MsgBox ("Horizontal resolution =" & Horiz & vbLf & "Vertical resolution =" & Vert)
End Sub


To get a macro to auto run...

Sub Workbook_Open()
MsgBox "Hello"
End Sub

...as long as this is in the "ThisWorkbook" code module.

Application.Run "Sheet that has the macro.xls'!Macro name"
