I have Excel 2010.

I am trying to edit content within a cell. I know you can double click on the cell or hit F2. However, what I want to do is edit exactly where I put my cursor.

For example, if one cell has the number "12346789." I want to be able to put my cursor between 4 and 6, left click, and then write the letter 5 to complete the sequence.

I know that this is possible, as I have set it up before without any VBA. I just have a different computer and need to figure out how I did it before.

Thanks for your help.

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
