If there is 20 employees, and all 20 needs to works = saturdays but only 6 employess out of 20 are required so only 6 will be working.

So if 6 employess work every saturday ...how many saturdays will each one work in a month.

Thanks for helping:rolleyes:

Excel Facts

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
I figure there's a 6/20 (30%) chance anyone will have to work a given saturday.

There's 52 in a year, or 52/12 = 4 1/3 per month. 30% of which is 1.3

so the formula would be

=6/20 * 52/12

..I think...

This is more of a middle school question and not a Excel question, but hey - maybe you are a Dad helping out his son! Anyway, since you said a month, without hindsight, the questions needs you to assume how many saturday's there are in the month - it could be 4 or 5. Lets assume 4. Then 20/6 = 3 remainder 2. Therefore, 18 of the 20 will work 1 Saturday and two get saved for the next month.
