Please help. Need for work assignment ASAP

I am trying to fill a column with a fill series so that if I delete a row the series will update.
Can anyone help me with this?
A B C
1 1
2 2
3 3
4 4
5 6 <---- See how this number is a 6 and not a 5?
6 7 When I delete the row the series is broken.
7 8
8 9
9 10

=ROW()

Assuming your data starts from row 1, use =ROW()
