Please Help Text In Formula

I have some text that refer to different workbooks in a directory. It looks up the same cell reference in different workbooks. how can I put this text into the formula bar to find the cell result. I know I can goto the cell and enter a = each time but I have a lot of entries




U:[1234.xls]Machine'!$A$1
U:[1235.xls]Machine'!$A$1
U:[1236.xls]Machine'!$A$1
U:[1237.xls]Machine'!$A$1
U:[1238.xls]Machine'!$A$1
