--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to find a formula that tells me how many hours fall in a determinate shift and how many hours fall in another.

I explain…

A1= Starting Time--------------------------------------------------14:00
B1= Finishing Time-------------------------------------------------22:00
C1= Total hours------------------------------------------------------8:00
D1= How many hours between 06:00 to 18:00-------------?????????????
E1= How many hours between 18:00 to 06:00-------------?????????????

Please can anybody help me before a pull all my hairs out of my head…

THANKS.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Chip does a pretty thorough job here explaining how to do that. He's even got a downloadable example you can use for reference. Hope that helps!
