Hi guys,

I wonder if you could help please.

I have a spreadsheet that works fine, but i wanted to add an image to it to jazz it up a bit, but half the image is white and the other half is blue

The problem is that i cannot read the text that is behind the image, even though it is the white bit of the image, so really i need to send the image to the background, but this doesnt work with text, only other images?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Hi Roy.
Only two that I know of.
1. Menu Bar - Format - Sheet - BackGround
2. Add an autoshape, select it, Format - AutoShape - Fill - Color - Fill Effects - Picture. Set the tranparency to whatever flavor you wish...

After you insert your image, on the picture toolbar there is an icon (second to the end of the right) that allows you to set the transparency color of the image.

Click on that and then click on the white part of the image and it should turn it transparent.
