Please simplify this addition formula

I want to add numbers from every other column such as:

BZ11=C11+E11+G11+......+BY11

Thats a lot to type and I hope there is a better way to do this. Please suggest.

Try:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(COLUMN(C11:BY11),2)=1),C11:BY11)
