I am doing an XY Scatter plot and need to include a secondary X and Y axis. Basically I added an extra point and told it to be on the secondary axis. Its only adding the secondary Y axis though rather than the X axis as well. How do I add both the secondary X and Y Axis?

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Hum.. Our teacher told us to plot all of our values in SI units. The experiment was done in English. Like you ive not heard of a secondary X axis. I guess the only other option would be to include 2 plots..

Ill have to ask him.

I dunno what SI units are, but I think I'd ask him. Good luck!

When you assign a series to the secondary axis, Excel usually only creates a secondary value (Y) axis. To get a secondary category (X) axis (really not all that uncommon), choose Chart Options from the Chart menu, click on the Axes tab, and check the combination of axes you want (or don't want).

Annie: SI means metric units (from the French "Système International d'Unités").

Some of these things are hidden where it's hard to find. There should be more of an affort to inform users where they are. Secondary axes, secondary X axes, custom combination charts, etc.

This keeps forums like Mr Excel busy.
