Populate a Cell WIth Today's Date in VBA

I simply wish to put today's date into a cell.

I failed with using this ...

.Range("AC" & ERC2) = Format(today, "dd-mmm-yy")

I don't think "today" is the right option ... I get "null" as a value.

Try Date instead of today.

With .Range("AC" & ERC2)
    .Value = Date
    .NumberFormat = "dd-mmm-yy"
End With
