populating a chart with photo problem

hi.... I have an xy scatter chart that i am populating with a photo..... the problem is, that i want the chart to be quite small on the page and when i populate the chart with the photo only a small piece of the photo is shown in the chart.... i cant figure out how to show the whole photo... any help would be appreciated

Hi d0wnt0wn,

I can't seem to duplicate the problem you are having. Are you filling the entire chart area, or just the plot area? Are you using the Format Chart Area or Format Plot Area dialog and using the Fill Effects button on the Patterns tab and then the Picture tab? When I did this the picture sized with the chart.

Also, is your chart a Chart sheet or a chart embedded in a worksheet?

hi damon... the answer to all of your questions is ... i dont know ..... i didn manage to figure out tho if i resize the picture before importing it into excel then it worked the way i wanted..... i just started using charts today so I am not sure on the terminology.... i downloaded an example spreadsheet and have been trying to figure it out..... seems to be working ok now even if it is a bit hacked up... thanks for the responce
