I am working on a table of underwater volcanoes and their assocated data across eight columns. One of the cell entries for each volcano includes its location on the seafloor as GPS data. I have ten rows of data and a map of the area with its ten corresponding data point locations. Is it possible to make it so that, for example, if you select any of the cells in a row of data for a certain volcano, that its corresponding point on the map will become highlighted (beome visually noticeable in some way)?

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
