Hi!

Im a trainer with differenet trainees from different clents in mone master table. I know how to link a column to one ws, and I know how to use the filter.

I have many colomns,, however take for example these 2

Name Company

In a new worksheet I am making for attendance, I want to list only the names of the students who are in company x.

Now the thing is I need it to update automatiaclly. THe number of students is always changing. I need the worksheet to reflect the addition or decrease of students automatically.

Sorry Im not so great at excel....
Thanks for your guidance

Robert

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

If I have understood you correctly, here is one way.

Set up the main sheet (I have called mine "Original Data") with a helper column like shown below and copy the formula down as far as needed. The column could then be hidden if you want.

Then on the sheet where you want a particular Company, set it up like the second screen shot below. The column A formula can be copied down as far as you like.
