Possible to Run Macro while in Edit Mode???

I am wondering if it is possible to run a macro while entering text in a cell.

Specifically I am looking for easy ways to enter superscript, subscript and greek characters into cells.

The cells would be shown as text only (though most likely formatted as general) and would not be part of a formula...

Is this possible? Or am I only dreaming of a perfect XL world?

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Nope. Can't run a macro whilest in Edit mode. End of story.

You could write a macro that would take entries and alter them after you've entered them allowing you to specify certain preformatting things, similar to what the BB does if you enter a left-bracket "[" a letter and a right-bracket. Example: you input This is [p]superscript[/p] and this is [g]Greek[/g] and your macro then parses and formats the text appropriately.

Thanks Greg, that is what I feared. I was just hoping that there was a nice way to format similar text similar to the things I can do with Word.

Thanks for your tip on the BB code parameters, but I think that will be longer than the methods I use now to just enter the values and format the characters as I type.

Thanks for your help.
