This is probably a long shot. I am a huge fan of The Sims 4 and I would like to start modding for it. But all of the programs people use to extract the XML data to create the mods are made for Windows... and, you guessed it, I have a Mac. I have asked in multiple TS4 forums if there is program for Mac, and have been told to get Windows, which isn't an option. So my thinking behind asking this question is that, for one thing, Excel is way more powerful than I ever thought it was a couple of months ago before I started using VBA, and for another, I've seen people do some awesome if confounding things with XML for Office.

I've seen VBA that can get all sorts of data from non-Microsoft programs, so while I continue to think this particular request is the ultimate long shot, and I have no sweet clue how to go about it myself, I thought it was perhaps worth asking. Is it possible to write a script that will extract the XML from TS4? And if it is possible, can I get some pointers on how to get started?

Thank you!
