I see this issue occasionally. I transform data using Power Query. The last column I format as Whole Number (I've even tried decimal number):

But when I close and load it, it converts the last column to dates:

Any thoughts on why this is happening or how to stop it from happening?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Is this a brand new table, or is it an augmented table that used to have a date in the column (by order, not name)...OR was that column in the Sheet that the table is loaded to formatted to a date at one time?

Either way, once you update the formatting to the number format (Highlight the column, right click > format cells, etc) on the sheet that you would like, it should carry through for each refresh you perform going forward.
