Hi,

I am very interested in the features of PowerPivot. Is it ok just to install a stand alone Excel 2010 with Office 2007? Would I be able to save PowerPivot files as .xlsx?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Lynn

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
You can have multiple versions of Office on the same computer - have a look at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928091/

I have Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 on mine (I decided to remove Office 97 and Office XP but they probably would still be OK). The secret is to make sure that they are installed into different folders/directories.

You can select/deselect some of the Office programs when you do a 'Custom' install.

PowerPivot files cannot be opened in Excel 2007 or earlier.
