Hey - why are the PowerPivot Tools disabled inside the Panel ?

I'm using Office 2013 Pro Plus

Something wrong with the installation ?

All other components are working ie Power Query,etc..

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
I have seen this when there was a default template set of Excel, that was not 2013. Check that?

I thought so to. When i open a new workbook, I'm able view all the tools of PowerPivot.

How can i change the default settings for existing workbooks ? I was using 2003 prior to switching to 2013.

Thanks.

This happens to me at least once a week.

What I tend to find fixes it is saving and closing all workbooks and then restarting my computer. I've seen others suggest reinstalling Powerpivot, but at my work we have it installed centrally and then it installs locally when users boot up - so maybe by restarting I am inadvertently reinstalling?

Either way - the restart works a treat for me!! I suggest trying both.
