Hello all,

I am currently working with a large PPT file sent over from a co-worker. There is about 40 charts in this PPT that he built within PPT. My question, is there anyway to extract the data from all of these charts into excel so that I can add data and create new charts?

Thank you for reading.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
is copy and paste not possible?
Yes, if I opened the Edit Chart and copied it there it would be possible. The main issue is that there is 40 charts in this one PPT, and I have about 25 of these PPTs. So copy and paste would take forever and I am looking for more of an automated way to do this. I am not familiar with VBA or Macro but all research I have done suggested this was possible. I was curious if that is the only way to do it, and if so, where could I find some form of tutorial to follow on setting it up.

I was thinking copy just the data and make new charts in excel - presumably the charts are not too different eg line charts, bar charts....
