Preserve Column Width in Pivot Table

When I refresh my pivot table, I lose the column widths I have set. I've tried the "Preserve Formatting" from the Table Options menu but that doesn't seem to work on column widths. Any suggestions?

I'm just now learning pivot tables so any help is appreciated.

Yes that is an annoyance. I had that for a project and a work around was to create a macro for the formatting so when I needed to refresh the data, then do a macro to return the desired formats.
