Prevent cells selected in Excel 2003 worksheet

I used to use a method in Excel 2003 where I protect a sheet and the user cannot select any cells except the ones I specify. Not that they can't CHANGE or EDIT the cell, but it doesn't allow them to even SELECT the cell.

Does anybody know how? And also, is there a similar method in Excel 2007?
Thanks!

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
OK, I got it! Format the cells you want to ALLOW the user to change as Unlocked. Select Tools - Protection - Allow Users to Edit Ranges.
Add the ranges they are allowed to change. Then go to Tools - Protection - Protect Sheet and uncheck the box next to Select locked cells. Keep the box checked next to Select UNlocked cells.

This works only slightly different in Excel 2007.

This cost me a beer for a good friend.

Unlock the cells you want the user to have access to, then protect the sheet.
In Excel 2007, when you protect the sheet you will get a dialog box that allows you to select various options. One option is to allow the user to select a locked cell. Remove the check from this option to prevent selecting all locked cells.

Whoops! Yes, Joe, I got the same solution, I just wrote it wrong in my posting. Yours is written correctly. Thanks.
