I have a reference number ie H204650 that I need to select and drag down to a specific number of cells, is there a way that when I do this, it still remains as H204650 rather then H204651, H204652 and so on ?

by the way this is a manual drag down rather then celldraganddrop which I was going to use Application.CellDragAndDrop = False but thats not for manual dragging

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You can copy+paste the value into the next cell down, then highlight both before dragging downwards. This should stop the increment.
