Prevent unsharing a workbook?

We are trying to use the track changes feature in Excel to create an audit trail. The problem is that once the workbook is unshared, the change history goes away. So, a user could unshare the workbook to get around having changes identified. Is there any way to prevent unsharing? Or a better way to do the audit trail in the first place?

Instead of doing a normal Share, do a Protect and Share ( with a password ) ... then the only person who can unshare it will be the one who set the password.
