hi there

I have a Excel 2003 workbook that has a protected worksheet.

I have two passwords that users can use to edit certain cell ranges.

I want to however prevent the users from unfreezing the panes. The worksheet is currently frozen at cell K3, but it appears that users can unfreeze the sheet.

Do I need a Macro, as I can't see the 'freeze/unfreeze' option on what users can do in the protected worksheet tools>protection>protect sheet

If this is not possible for Excel 2003
Can I create a macro that always freezes the worksheet at cell K3?

thanks for your help
