Hi there,

Im looking for the best formula to calculate the retail price of a item. But the calculation must use the following "rules"

if cost price is between

0-50 add 75%
51-100 ad 70%
101 - 250 add 60%
251-500 add 55%
501 - 1000 add 50%
1001 - 2000 add 45%
over 2001 add 40%

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
what if the cost price is 2001? how much to add?
Your description is missing the detail for that

Try this formula

=LOOKUP(C4,{0;51;101;251;501;1001;2001},{0.75;0.7;0.6;0.55;0.5;0.45;0.4})
