print range to a PDF file with a name set in a cell containing path\filename.pdf

Hi
I am using 2003 version of Excel.

I am trying to write macro run by clicking a "control button" that will choose "Adobe" as the printer, go to a particular cell to pick up the path & filename and store it to a variant and then I want to print the pre-set range in the worksheet to a PDF file with the contents of the variant as the filename.

I tried the record macro, but this popped up the Adobe "File save as" dialogue so I choose the path and give the file name.

I tried several examples I found on the internet, but it seems they all referred to Excel versions 2007 and 2010 as non of them worked on my 2003 version.

First I would like to know if it is possible to print to a PDF file with a named file without the Adobe dialogue box for file saving popping up.

If it can be done, I would appreciate the code for the VBA printout.

I use a free pdf printer called BullZip. it is programmable, and able to easily print a range to a pdf.

I am able to print to a PDF using the navigation keys.
What I am after is to print to a PDF via a list of commands in a macro with a given path\filename created in the worksheet

yeh, just set the printer default to the bullzip printer.
print your sheet or selection or userform
set default back to normal


the "printout" will be a pdf
then rename from the generic pdf name you set in preferences to your path

thanks for your suggestion, however since then I continued to search and joined other groups to see about his problem. I found some code that with some amendments to my particular case, I obtained what I wanted just by a click on a command button that runs a macro.

I had to install PDFcreator as the code was using is program to create the PDF file

pdf creator and bullzip do the same thing...
as long as you have a solution, thats great.
