Hi all,

OK, so I'm trying to print from Excel to a file, and I've set up a special printer on my computer that prints only to file format. I've set it up as a HP Deskjet 1600CM/PS printer. However, when I print to that Printer from Excel, using a very simple workbook I just get a bunch of gobledygook in the .prn file. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Now, in case you're asking, I'm using Excel as my test program for this, as I'm really going to be using these settings to print from Lotus Notes. However, as I found that Lotus spits out garbage in this process I tried it with Excel and got the same result. Thus, I'm hoping, fix the setup so that Excel works, and Lotus should follow suit. Not the most air tight logic in the world, but worth a shot. Thanks!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
I think you need to set the printer type to
Manufacter: Generic
Printer: Generic/Text Only

Not HP.

Hope this helps.
