I'm trying to build a new workbook based on one that I made a couple years ago and am running into some issues when I try to print. Both workbooks are Excel2007, however, when I create a new workbook, the default settings set the font at Calibri, 8pt. When I shrink the cells to the desired size (rows are 12 pixels high, columns are 5 pixels wide) and input the information like it was in the old book, everything seems to be ok.
I have the same page setup for printing (print quality is 600dpi, margins on the left and right are .2, top and bottom are .25).
However, with the old file, those settings gave me a printable area of 87 rows (each 12 pixels high) by 140 columns (each 5 pixels wide).
The new file gives me a printable area of 87 rows (12 pixels high) by 142 columns (140 at 5 pixels, 2 at 74 pixels each).
I have a feeling this happens because the default font settings are different from what they were when the old file was created, but I don't understand why. Can someone help?
Thanks
