Need to print 950 certificates.

I tried to set the picture as back ground but it will not print. All I can figure to do is put the picture on sheet 1 and then may VBA code names to a text box and put that on the picture?????

1. Certificate name is picture.jpg
a. Sized = 8 x 10.
b. Picture will be on Sheet 1.
c. Names for certs will be on Sheet 2, probably in column A.

2. Text box criteria:
a. font size = 26
b. font = CG Times
c. lines = none
d. fill = none
e. text box probably needs to be centered at about G22.

3. Picture takes up from column A1 to O44.

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Hi Em

Backgrounds do not print

You might try a mail merge using word and your data in excel...printing on your already printed background.

This willbe the best option i feel and save all teh agro.

Images in Excel are not good if text to go over them, Excel dont watermark very well i feel

How about instead of a text box, have a linked picture or any shape you want that references to the cell on the other sheet.

Insert your picture on the sheet

now instead of a textbox use a Rectangle

select the Rectangle and in the formula bar input the cell on the other sheet with the data you want (just like a linked cell)

hope this helps

Hi white6174

Love the ideas but doubt this will work as a background and the original question requests, but like i say like it!!

Worth remembering that point thanks

If you are using fancy stock, or you would like to use fancy stock, why not shop this project around, see what the local printers (photocopy and traditional) can offer you.

You have almost 1000 copies; an economy of scale which should satisfy both parties concerned.

Just find one that has been there, done that. Supply a data file to their liking, and let them worry about the details.

I assume these 950 certificates are part of some business/non-profit model. Probably you are doing somebody a favor. Meet them halfway: you find a suitable vendor, do the liason, and let your 'boss' of your efforts pay the vendor.
