Got a formula in particular that you're talking about, or in general?

A2: 5
B2: 0 (zero) or blank

Normally, 5 divided by 0 or 5 divided by a blank cell will return the "#DIV/0!" error.

One solution:
=IF(OR(B2 = 0,B2 = ""),"",A2/B2)
