I have a CHOOSE formula in
H19 =CHOOSE(K19,L19,M19)
K19 displays the value 1
L19 displays the value 205
M19 displays the value 204

the result of the formula in H19 diplays 0
But when you enter the formula using the funtion wizard it says the answer is 205, I think i'ts to do with the format of the cells but these are all set to general, any ideas ?

Hello,

This won't solve your problem, but the only way i get a 0 is to have no text in cell L19. I have created the CHOOSE formula several ways and always get 205.

Are you sure you chose the correct cell when not using the Wizard?

as per onlyadrafter's reply, the format of the cells shouldn't make a difference - describe exactly what you've done etc...

The cells K19, L19 & M19 are the results of other formula.

H19 was blank, I used the Formula wizard & picked the CHOOSE function
which whilst still in the wizard gave the correct answer of 205, I click OK to exit the Formula wizard & the cell displays '0'.

What do you get with...

=INDEX(L19:M19,K19) ?

Again, I get the correct answer through Formula Wizard but click OK to exit it & I get 0 again !
