I've previously used the code Me.Undo before closing a form to remove any changes but this only seems to work sometimes in Access 2007.

On reading threads etc it seems the problem might be to do with how access now auto saves records as my form is bound. Is there anyway to prevent this?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
If you move off a record, those changes are locked in at that point. So you would need to "undo" before moving off that particular record.

One thing you may want to look into is to make the Form unbound, and then have VBA code that writes the values to the table upon clicking some button (i.e. named "Update"). Then the records will only be added/updated once that button is clicked.

If you use the form's Before Update event to undo the changes it will always fire is there as any changes.

If you do not want to allow any changes then you could set the form's record source type to snapshot or set the form's AllowEdits property to False.
