greetings from Kansas

I recieved a really interesting workbook the other day and was curious about some interesting functions the author added to it.

When I went to access the VBA, I expected it to be passworded, but instead I got a message box saying: Project Locked! Project is unviewable.

I was not aware of a way to lock a project from view without passwording.

Can anyone explain this for me.

thanks mweaver

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
You will get this message if you are using Excel 97 and the project was protected in Excel 2000. You can also get the message if the workbook is marked as shared and/or your version of Excel includes Excel 5 or Excel 7 add-ins.

I assume that if you transfer the workbook to an Excel 2000 machine, you will get the password routine (I'm using Excel 97 and I have not tested this).
