Prompt order for report fields

Hi, All:

I have a report template that has about a dozen prompts (this is what my user wants  ). Anyway, it appears that I don't have any control over what order the prompt selects on the report itself. I guess ultimately I could just do the prompts in the query, but I have a similar report without prompts that pulls from the same source. I would have to build another query.

I'll probably do this, but does anyone know if there's a "tab order" function in reports like there is in forms?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
How are these prompts being generated?

I had used the report text boxes as prompts because I didn't want to create another SQL, but I did anyway so that I could have the prompts come up in the order I wanted. It looks like Access goes through the order that the fields are created rather than the order that they read on the report. Thought that was a little odd, but...

Hi

Not sure whether this may help but try looking to see if they have a tab-index set against them. I know it doesn't really make much sense having a tab-index on a report but this may be how Access is 'deciding' on the order. You'll find the Tab-index in the properties for the controls.

Cheers

I already checked that because I had the same idea. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be such a property on reports (which actually makes sense).. Thanks anyway!
