Proper Syntax for Defining a Range

I'm struggling with the proper syntax for defining a Range. I have a variable that counts the number of rows. At a given point, I want a new Row inserted into the sheet. Here is what I have:

'Insert blank row for subtotals
Range("A" & MyCount:"P" & MyCount).Select
Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown

VBA doesn't like my syntax. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks! I never seem to get the hang of where the quotes go when defining a range. That worked perfectly.

Or :-

[A1:P1].Offset(MyCount-1).Select
