Properties Changed to 'False' Keep Reverting back to 'True'

 Just wondering why, when I change the 'Visible' property of my labels & check boxes to 'False', it changes itself back to 'True'?? This is frustrating the heck out of me! I know I can code them to not be visible in vba, but I thought the properties functionality was there so coding isn't necessary.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Where are these labels and checkboxes? Any properties set at design time should persist unless overridden in code (assuming you saved the file after setting them).

I put them on a worksheet. I made very careful to save each time I changed the properties to False. They would remain hidden for the first few tests I did, but after that, they would all be reverted back to visible even when I didn't action them to be visible during any of my tests. I also never over-rode my saved test file, so any changes to the property should not have been saved.

I just coded upon opening the workbook for the labels & checkboxes to be hidden unless I checked a checkbox in the userform, and it works, but I just didn't want to have to do that.

p.s. It always makes me happy to see you responding to my posts!

Which version of Excel are you using? (2010 seems to have a few issues with ActiveX controls on worksheets)

PS Thanks! :)

I can't replicate that behaviour. However I would generally advise using Forms controls rather than ActiveX unless you have a real need for the ActiveX version.

Ah, that must be the problem because I did format it using ActiveX. Too late now, but thanks for the tip!
