Hi

I have a spreadsheet (2003) which has a worksheet which I have protected with only the "select unlocked cells" option ticked.

Now, when entering data the selection moves after enter despite the option being deselected in Tools>Options>Edit.

The selection does not move when the option to "select locked cells" is ticked as well when protecting the worksheet.

Can anyone suggest why this should be and how to prevent the selection from moving as it is a "feature" which I find particularly annoying.

Thanks

Graham

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
if all else fails, try using the Worksheet_SelectionChange event to start a macro that re-selects cell X, after its been de-selected

Its in the relevant sheet object, within VBA

i.e.

Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
activesheet.range("A1").select
End Sub
