How can I ensure the data in one sheet does not change if it is drawing data from another sheet whose data may change.

A better description.... I have a master account file that I use to pull information from to populate monthly data. Can I select Aug and protect it somehow so that if I change the data on the Master workbook the Aug numbers will not change?????

Thank You

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Either:

1. Create a new master workbook each month and change the link source in your monthly workbook when you need to, or

2. Have columns of data in your master workbook for each month and look up the relevant column in your monthly workbook.

Protecting the sheet has no effect on calculation.

You could set calculation to manual and click No when prompted to update links on opening the workbook. Then the numbers won't change until you press F9.
