Hi,

does anyone know how you can protect a whole workbook so that no-one can do any editing?

cheers,

Greg

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Cheers for your reply.

However, using the protect workbook doesn't appear to work. You can still make any changes you like and save, re-writing any information.

I would like to protect the whole workbook, including every single cell! lol

This is so no-one can enter information unless they have a password (essentially having to come through me first). Is this possible?

I can't seem to save it as a read-only, you can still write.

If anyone can offer assistance, I would be most grateful!

Cheers!

Greg.

Hey,

Sorry guys. I have figured it out. I just have to protect every single worksheet separately to get what I want.

Cheers! Sorry to bother you!

Good evening Gregula

Download my add-in from the link below - it has the functionality to implement Excel's worksheet protection on one, some or all worksheets at once with or without a password.
