Is there a way to allow users to enter data in cells but not allow them access to modify or use any toolbars or commands or any items that might change fonts or colors? We have a pc on a shop floor that has a sheet always open - different operators are supposed to come and enter data on the sheet, but I'm always being called because the slide bar is missing, or font sizes have been changed, etc. Would a form be the answer? Can a form be opened without the user having to open Excel?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Choose Tools>Protection. Protecting the WorkSheet will prevent font and color changes. Protecting the WorkBook will prevent other operations. You can still allow enter in cells by unlocking (Format>Cells>Protection) the cells where data is to be entered before you protect the Sheet.

What about making all the command menu items unavailable except for FILE (i.e. make Edit, View, Insert, Tools, etc. unavailable)? Is that possible?
