Does anyone know how to put a custom button to perform an action in an Excel worksheet on a custom tab on the Ribbon?

When the button is clicked, it opens up a website, www.awebsite.com

Does this require using Visual Studio or XML or can I do all this in VBA?

I certainly appreciate ANYONE'S help. I really need to do this.

When the button is clicked, it opens up a website, www.awebsite.com

I have just downloaded Visual Studio in case I need it.

Thanks anyone and everyone for any help and guidance on this.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Not sure, but could you create a Macro to do this, then assign that macro to a custom button...?
