hi,
i have a date (9/14/2012 for example) that's entered in A1 and may change automatically....
in B1, I'd like to have a formula like this: =ON & " " & A1 that would look like: ON 9/14/2012 in this case, and would update according to the updated date in A1.

the problem is that right now, the date is not showing up correctly in B1. is what i'm trying to do possible?

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
or you can use Custom Format:
Excel 2010
ABC
19/14/2012ON 9/14/2012

<colgroup><col style="width: 25pxpx"><col><col><col></colgroup><thead>
</thead><tbody>
</tbody>
Sheet1

Worksheet Formulas
CellFormula
C1=A1

<thead>
</thead><tbody>
</tbody>

<tbody>
</tbody>

The format in C1:
"ON "m/d/yyyy
