Qualification for Reporting Analyst

Hello Guys,

I am working in an organization mostly based on excel Filters, Sorting, Data Validating and some functions and formulas.

I came to know that Reporting Analyst has huge career and got good salaries.

So, I want to change my career to Reporting Analyst, I hope many of us working as Reporting Analyst. So, what are the things i need to know like, The tools and techniques.

Do i need Excel, Access and VBA?

Just want to change my job, before changing job just want to upgrade, I hope you people, will help me and of course this thread will help to newbies like me.

I have only been in the working world for about a month and I must say that VBA is a very impressive skill. someone I work with is a master at VBA and has showed me some of his work. it is incredible, and he has automated many tasks. i'm going to learn VBA at some point.
