I have a challenge, i am working with my bank account movement in pivot/excel 2010 in order to get a clear view of our expenses.
We pay our mortage quarterly, but i would like to split it into monthly shares.
As all my account movements are listed per movement, how do i make Excel split the amount in three months? - i have a date column for each movement.
An example: i pay 1000€ in January 2011, i would like this amount to be listed as 333€ for Jan, Feb and Mar 2011 in another column
So i need a formula which says something like if an amount is found in a specific column, it shall split the amount in three pieces in the same month and the next two months in another column, when for example Jan, Feb and Mar are found the first time in the date column.
