Hi,

I've been using queries for many years with a great result. Since we migrated to Excel 2010 from 2003 it seems that somethings has gone for the worse.

I use the exact same (copied) SQL statement but with different results. I got a merged cell (wrap text enabled) in my source file that turning up even if it should exclude that value (in excel 2010). Also, the "Fill down formulas in columns adjacent to data" seems to have disappeared.

This is reallt annoying and I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.

All help is greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
In 2010 you can include the formula column as part of the table, and it will then automatically expand/contract with the rest of the table.

WHERE (`Sheet1$`.`Date E`<>'2008-01-20
2008-01-12')
this is my current SQL-statement that I am using (not working).

I know for a fact that this date (in the database) is in a merged cell with wrap text.

I also know that there is a char(10) (line break) in that cell. So that cell value is 2008-01-20 LINEBREAK
2008-01-12

How to modify my statement to get it working again?

Is the SQL being used in code or elsewhere?

Does it make a difference if the cell is not merged? (is it row merged, or column merged, or both?)

Nope, same problem goes either way the cell is merged or not. The strange thing, atleast in my opinion, is that I copied the SQL and it give me different results.

Thanks!
