Queries of queries of queries... will they update automatically?

Hi guys,
I have a 6th generation query, that is ultimately attached to 8 tables.
Essentially I did:
table1 + table2 = query 1
table3 + query 1 = query 2
table5 + query 2 = query 3
table6 + query 3 = query 4
table7 + query 4 = query 5
table8 + query 5 = query 6

When I run query 6, will it refer back through all the queries and tables and update all of them? Or do I have to run queries 1 > 5 before I run query 6?

Thanks

I don't know what a make table query is... they are all 'joins'. Joining a few columns on each time.

then it shouldn't be a problem

a make table query is exactly what it sounds like,
you select data from one table and use it to create a brand new table

in access 2003 you can choose "query" from the menu and tell access what kind of query it is : update, delete, select, append or make table

so let's say query2 gave you a list of all north eastern states in the US and you were going to use that info in a number of other queries;
So instead of running query2 each and every time you could run it once, make a table and then use that table over and over
That would speed things up, but then query2 couldn't be in a chain like you have here, because it makes a table in the "middle" of the chain

you'd have to run query2 by itself and then have all the chains use the table made by query2
