I have a query table set up to pull from a SQL database using a view stored on the server, when I hit refresh in my table in Excel, is there a way to determine when that refresh is completed? I don't see any sort of status bar or signal, am I missing something?

thanks

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Hi Fred,

In XL 2000 there's a small "Earth Icon" that appears and spins at the right end of the status bar when a query is being refresh. I don't know where the indicator is in higher versions.

I found the globe, hard to see. If you click it you can get a status update. For some reason my refresh is SLOOOW.
