I would like to get some data such as historical stock price from the web.

1. What are the criteria to use the 3 function?
2. which method is the best to use?

1 What do you mean by 'criteria'?

2 What methods have you tried? Perhaps none of those mentioned are the best approach. Have you tried Data>Get External Data...New Web Query...?

i use the first one but only able to get yahoo data but not other

s. since the data from yahoo is outdated, i want to get from other site

I am developing my own stock anlaysis automation using Excel, but mainly come across problem with data completeness and integrity problem.

I used to download the data from yahoo finance and update it by myself day to day using automation. I have found many great resources here to get data from Yahoo!Finance. However, the stock's historical price in yahoo is not up-to-date, for hong kong stocks, and sometimes for some newly listed stocks, there isn't any historical price to get.

Question : Is it possible to get the data from these 2 websites (since it is up-to-date) to excel worksheet or an excel file? Many Thanks.
