My organisation is trying to implement a Live Connection (Data Model?) into our area.
As a report developer, it seems very limiting and not what a report developer should be doing.

No Data Transformation through Power Query Editor nor the ability to form and understand Relationships seems like something a report developer (me) should be involved in.

I understand that through a Live Connection, Calculated Columns, Relationships and the Data Transformation has been taken care of. Which, yes, is handy for some but for myself, it just feels like I am using a glorified version of Paint. There is a lot to do in Power BI and it seems like I am only going to be doing the visuals.
Previous experience, I connected to our data lake, transformed the data, created calculated columns and measures, formed relationships between multiple tables. Made visuals and added further measures/calculated columns.

Are there any other issues which I should know about Live Connection so that I may propose against it?
